Bioconductor 2.2 TENTATIVE Release Schedule
24 March
- No new packages added to release roster.
Late March
R:
- Grand Feature Freeze. R 2.7.0 moves to release branch in R's svn repository.
BioC:
- All package developers should start using R-2.7.0 for testing their packages.
02 April
- Release candidate of annotation packages built and posted to devel annotation data repository
14 April
BioC:
- Stage I Code Freeze: no API changes.
- Deadline for packages passing R CMD check without error.
21 April
BioC:
- Deadline for packages passing R CMD check without warning. Some warnings will be accepted, clarification on the bioc-devel mailing list.
- Stage II Code Freeze. We will be building release repositories and testing. Only "show-stopper" bugs will be fixed where show-stopper is defined by the release team (not package maintainer).
- Annotation data packages finalized.
28 April
R:
- Estimated release date for R 2.7.0
BioC:
- Creation of the BioC 2.2 release branch, development can resume on trunk, but changes will not be part of the release.
- Build final release repositories
- Testing install scripts, GUI installation
30 April
- Release of Bioconductor 2.2
